Diffusion
Diffusion is the passive movement of particles from a high concentration to a low concentration. This just means that the particles move from places where there are lots of them to a place where there is fewer of them. Diffusion happens in both liquids and gasses but NOT solids. This is because in liquids and gases the particles are free to move around.
