Diffusion is really important in living organisms-it's how a lot of substances get in and out of cells. Basically particles move about randomly, and after a bit they end up evenly spaced.

Don't be put off by the fancy word

• Diffusion is simple. Its just the gradual movement of particles from places where there are lots of them to places where there are few of them
• Thats all it is- just the natural tendency for stuff to spread out
• Definition- Is the net mocvement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration
