Diffusion

Definition: The movement of particles from high concentration to low concerntration, across a semi-permiable membrane.

Glucose and Oxygen get into the mitochondria through diffusion.

Glucose is taken into our body through foods. It then travels into the mitochondria through the bloodstream and diffusion.

Oxygen is inhaled as we respire, and is entered into the mitochondria through the bloodstream and diffusuion.
