What do we mean by Culture?

It is not just equal to different continents or countries. Some think of culture as an outside influence but many think of individuals developing while embedded within their culture. 

Bronfenbrenner sees individuals embedded in many different contextual layers - these layers could be thought of as cultural influences. These layers include environmental changes, attitudes of nearby cultures, and extended families and friends. 

WEIRD: Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic. 

-Some people think of WEIRD as one type of culture however others argue that there are a wide variety of cultures within WEIRD, e.g. middle vs the working-class USA.
