Developmental Methods:

The primary task in developmental research is to design a study to capture development.

Designs:

Longitudinal = Repeated sampling of the same participants at different ages (over at least 2 different ages).

Cross-Sectional = Sampling different participants at different ages (a group of 2-year-olds compared to a different group of 3-year-olds).

Experimental = Controlling some variables and/or conducting the study
