Deprivation - when an attachment is formed and then broken.

There are 3 stages ti how young children respond on seperation from their caregiver, these are:

1) Protest - Cries/Screams/Protests/Cling to the parent/Escape from others.

2) Despair - Slightly calmer / refuse attempts of comfort / uninterested

3) Detachment - Begin to engage with other people / may be warry / Rejecting of caregiver on…
