Title: 

Moon = metaphor for the person who died 

The poem is dedicated to a woman - Duffy's aim is to relate to women 

Structure: 

stanza 1 = present tense 

stanza 2 = past tense (remembering the funeral service) 

stanza 3 = back to present - nothing has changed

tone = melancholic, wistful and perhaps regretful
