Describe Cultural differences in attitudes to food (4 Marks)

One factor that influences our eating behaviour is through culture. People prefer different food because of their culture and develop attitudes and preferences through exposure to different kinds of food.

There are two cultural factors that can influence eating behaviours. The first is ethnicity; research has shown a possibility that body dissatisfaction and related eating disorders are more common among white women in comparison to black or asian women (Powell and Khan)
