Crime and Deviance - Postmodernity

Postmodernists argue that therei no point trying to explain crime using grand narratives such as functionalism, Marxism or feminism. All you can do is treat each criminal act as a unique one-off event and describe it in detail.

This doesn't seem a very useful approach an ignores the wealth of sociological evidence that suggests some groups are more likely to commit specifc crimes than others.
