Aquinas had 5 ways, the first 3 being the ones that relate to the cosmological argument.
Aquinas’ 1st way is the unmoved mover:
P1: Objects are in motion
P2: If something is in motion, it must be caused to be in motion by something outside of itself, e.g. dominoes fall because of being pushed
P3: There cannot be an infinite chain of movers
C: There must have been some original source of motion, unmoved by anything else. This we call God, the ‘unmoved mover’
