The conditions inside your body, are known as the internal environment. Your organs cannot work properly if this keeps changing. Many of the processes which go on inside your body aim to keep everything as constant as possible, this balancing act is called homoeostasis. 


Water can move in and out of your body cells. How much it moves depends on the amount of mineral ions and water in your body. If too much water moves in and out of your cells, they can get damaged.
