Lader et al: Women spend 21 hours doing housework whilst men spend only 12 hours.
92% of women do housework per day compared with only 77% of men. Men normally do
DIY and women do domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning.
British Household Panel Survey 2005: Unemployed men resist doing housework
as they see it to be unmanly and to threaten their role as breadwinner.
