General AO1:
Comformity = a type of social influence involving a change in belief or behavior in order to fit in with a group
Types of Conformity (AO1):
- Compliance - gain approval or avoid disapproval
- Internalisation - acceptance of group’s viewpoint both publically and privately
- Identification - traits of both compliance and internalisation. Accepts privately later because originally desired to fit in
Explanations for conformity (AO1):
