Baddley 1966- STM and LTM
worldlists that were either semantically similar or acoustically similar were used. P's had trouble recalling acoustically similar words in the STM but not the LTM. P's also had trouble recalling semantically similar words in the LTM but not he STM. He concluded that the STM is largely acoustically encoded whereas the LTM is largely semantically encoded.
