Classification - is organising living organisms into groups by looking at similarities and differences between organisms that allow us to classify them into groups
two different classification systems that scientists use:
artificial classification, these systems use observable features for example if the bird has wings it can fly
artificial classification systems are still used to make keys to that scientists can easily identify and group organisms however it is no longer the best way to classify organisms
Natural classification, use evolutionary relationships
