  • Velocity- the speed+ direction of an object
  • If an object is travelling in a circle, it's constantly changing direction-> velocity changes-> accelerating- towards the centre of the circle
  • A resultant force acting on the object which causes this acceleration acts towards the centre of the circlekeeps the object moving in a circle- centripetal force 
  • Tension in the string- centripetal force- stops the object moving in a
