Chromosome Mutations
Sometimes during mieosis, parts of chromosomes break off and reatatch in the wrong place, these are chromosomal mutation.The most common form of chromosome mutation is translocation (when a piece from a pair of homologus chromosomes breaks off and reattaches to one of the completely different chromosomes.
Some translocations are balanced- a piece is swapped between the two chromosomes. People have have balanced translocations are often healthy.
