• Worship God on their own (Private)
• Or with others (Commnunal or collective worship)

• Expressing thanks for something good
• Develops personal realtionship with God

Liturgical worship

• Set Pattern or Ritual
• Traditional but it can contain modern or contemporary elements
• Roman Catholic Church & most Protesttant Churches
• Liturgcal calender to set out particular readings for services
• Liturgical colours worn on vestments
• Book Of Common Prayer (1662) - official service book and cannot be changed without Goverments Approval
• Common Worship: Services Of Prayer for the Church of England (2000)
• Lectionary - Table of bible readings authorised by church authorities for use duing public worship
