Christian practices:

  • liturgical worship: Has a set structure, takes place in a church. Has music, hymns, readings, formal prayers with set responses. Used by orthodox, anglican, catholic, the eucharist. Can be used anywhere, familiar. Teaches christians history and faith.
  • Non-loturgical worship: A service that does not follow a set text or a set order. Focused on bible reading. May have prayers or have hymns, but there is no set order to follow. Methodists, baptist. Service can be pre-planned to follow a certain theme. 
  • Informal worship: The service is 'Spontaneous' and has very diffrent setups.Use houses as churches, quaker worship is mainly silent, people speak when they are moved by god. People can share prayers…
