China one child policy

In the 1950’s, the population change in china was 1.9% each year. This was because the previous Chinese government encouraged couples to have more children to increase china’s workforce and economy however in the 1970’s the government realised that the population will soon become unstable. To try and solve this problem they introduced the One child policy that was established in 1979.
