Cognitive Development
- One-month-old - freezes when a soft noise is heard
- Three-month-old - Recognises familiar routines, alert and can follow movement when the object is close
- Six-month-old - Recognises voices and will explore different objects by putting them in mouth
- Eight-month-old/Nine months old - Looks for dropped objects or objects that are being hidden
- Twelve-month-old - 'trial and error' dropping things and watching them fall to the ground can learn by trying things out and then repeats if successful
- Fifteen months old - Will explore object by sight and sound
- Eighteen months old - Will remember where things belong, is curious to explore environment
