child development INSTITUATIONS AND ADOPTION

Aim: to investigate the effects of adoption on children who had been in residnetial care

Methid: 26 children who spent most of their childhood in instituation and were apodted when older were monitored at 6 and 16 years old

Results: most children had no majot difficulties. Occasionaly the children were agressive, overfriendly or unpopular at school

Conculsion: institustionalization does not always case neagtive effects
