15 months-palmar grasp, crayon held half-way up
18 months-primitive tripod grasp, using the thumb and first two fingers, may use preferred hand
2-3 years-tripod grasp, good pencil control, uses preferred hand
4 years-holds pencil well in correct way
5-6 years-good control of pencil

Drawing
15 months-scribbles to and fro, not lifting crayon from paper
18 months-scribbes to and fro, but can lift crayon from paper to draw dots
2-3 years-recognisable circle, can copy/draw T, V and H, draws a person with squiggle features which becomes more detailed
