Method
- Measured the weight of the crucible...
- then the weight of the the FeSO4 (approx 4g)
- Then places the FeSO4 on top of a tripod
- Put the Bunsen burner on a low roaring flame
- Continuously you go and check what the weight is... (- the weight of the crucible)
- Once the weight starts to stabilise... there are no continuous drops in the weight
- The majority of H2O would have been lost, therefore, you know that your compound is now anhydrous
