Concentrated and Diluted Solutions

A conentrated solution is one with a large amount of solute in a small amount of solute. For example, five spoons of coffee in a cup of water would be a concrentrated solution, while half a spoon of coffee in a cup of water would be a dilute solution.

To dilute a concentrated solution, you would just add more solvent. To make a dilute solution more concentrted, you could either dissolve more solute in it, or remove some of the solvent in it by evaporation.

Saturated Solutions

A saturated solution is a solution with as much soute dissolved in it as it can possibly hold without raising the temperature.

If you raised the temperature by heating it, the solution coulde dissolve more solute.
