CALCULATING % MASS OF AN ELEMENT IN A COMPOUND
Percentage mass of an element in a compound =
Ar X No. atoms (of that element) divided by Mr (of whole compound) X 100
Example: find the percentage mass of sodium in sodium carbonate Na2CO3
