Chemistry, Module 5: How much?
Gas Volumes
A gas is a substance which cannot be held, the particles in a gas are full of energy and have plenty of room to move around in.
So, if a gas cannot be held... how on earth do we measure it?
- A gas syringe
- A burette
- A measuring cylinder
- A mass balance
A pair of weighing scales that shows the drop in mass
Some reactions give off poisonous chemicals and therefore should be carried out in a fume cupboard.
