acids and alkalis are two groups of chemicals.We can test them using an Indicator. eg universal indicator. This shows if it's an acid or an alkalis

Acid: red/orange/yellow= ph 1 - 6

Neutral: green = ph 7

Alkalis: blues/purples= ph 8 - 14
