TYPES OF NUTRITION
- Nutrition is taking in useful substances.
- Green plants make their own food; they use inorganic substances - carbon dioxide, water and minerals - from the air and soil.

PHOTOSYNTHESIS
- photosynthesis= the process by which plants manufacture carbohydrates from raw materials using energy from light.
- Chlorophyll is the pigment which makes plants look green. It is kept inside the chloroplasts of plant cells.
LEAVES
- The epidermis cells protect the inner layers of cells in the leaf.
- Cuticle is the waxy substance, secreted by the upper epidermis, that helps stop water evaporating from the leaf.
