cells

all living things are made from cells. cells can be eukaryotic or prokaryotic. eukayotic cells are found in animals and plants where as prokaryotic cells are found in bacteria. the average animal cell size is 10um which is equal to 100,000 cells to fill a metre ruler. 

plant and animal cells (eukaryotes) are similar and but have some differences. 

animal cells include: 

• nucleus - this controlls the cell and contains the genetic material.
• cytoplasm - gel like substance which coveres the entire cell this is where most of the chemical reactions occur. it contains enzymes that control these reactions.
