If you want to look at organelles under an electron microscope first you have to separate them from the rest of the cell. There are three steps to this process;
1. Homogenisation
- This breaks up the plasma membrane and releases the organelles into a solution.
- Homogenisation can be done in several different wasy e.g. vibration the cells, grinding them up in a blender.
