CAUSES OF THE FEBURARY REVOLUTION, 1917
- WW1: They suffered great millitary defeat (eg. The Battle of Tannenburg). Extremely humilating, denounced Russia even further and made them look extremely weak
- Because of the opposition, supplies from abroad were cut off, and the Russian peasants were unable to supply the necessary amount of food alone, so many towns and cities faced food shortages.
- Russian industry much too weak and unstable for war. Massive inflation.
- Tsaar putting himself as commander in chief, had absolutely no millitary talent or iniative.
