Condensation reaction: A condensation reaction is a chemical reaction that takes place between two molecules (functional groups) which combine to form one single molecule and water.

Polypeptide: A large chain of amino acids held together by peptide bonds forming part or all of a protein.

Active site: The region of an enzyme which binds with a substrate in a reaction to form a enzyme-substrate complex.

Hydrogen Bond: A weak bond between two molecules as a result of the electrostatic attraction of a proton from one molecule
