Capacity of LTM

The capacity of LTM is a topic which has not been researched to the extent as has the cpacity of STM. This is because it would be impossible to put a figure on the number of memories we store in our long term memory store. 

The consensus does seem to be that there is always room for new LTMs. It is not the case that you reach a certian age, your LTM becomes full and you are unable to retain memories.
