C2 - understand how adults support children who have additional language needs

Recognising resources to support children with hearing loss, language delay or additional needs:

• visual cues and props - helps them process the information easier - puppets, facial expressions, pointing, photos or pictures, visual timetables, makaton
• quality interaction - avoid distracting environment, where does the child communicate most/like spending time,  good and positive relationship, speak clearly, lots of face expressions and gestures, sile and show interest, use props etc, dont overly correct the child
