Cell Membrane and Structure 

Cell Membrane:

  • Separates living cell from its non living surroudnings
  • Controls what substances pass into and out of the cell

Membrane Structure:

  • Made up of mostly phopholipids and proteins 
  • Phospholipid bilayer forms the basis of the membrane structure 

Fluid Mosaic Model:

  • The bilayer has a variety of protein
