in th  poduct life cycle there are 4 stages:

  • stage 1 - introduction, first the company spends a lot of time and money researching the product and the market for the product. the product will be tested and market research will be carried put before it's launchd. the business will be preparing an adverising campaign. at this stage costs are high and there are no sales. the product is then launched and there will be low product sales and small scale distribution. cost are high, prices are low and there will be low demand.
