What is a box plot? 

The length of the box shows the interquartile range.

Example:

A survey was made of the lengths of 12 worms in a garden.

Here are the results. All lengths are in cm:

8.4     9.8    5.5    8.2     6.8     7.8     3.2    9.1     6.8    5.0    6.7    8.2

You need to find the median, lower quartile, upper quartile.
