Blackadder vs Reality

Blackadder

Conditions:

• Had wooden shacks
• No mud but it was raining
• Polish boots with dead rats
• No mans land wasnt muddy

Food:

• Had to replace coffee with mud if they ran out
• Milk was spit
• Sugar was dandruff

Recruitment:

• Everyone was excited to join up for war on 4th August 1914
• Wanted to go to war

• Conditions were better for officers because they had wooden shacks
• General Melchett - High, posh, mad and a bit stupid
