Localisation of language: This is the idea that different parts of the brain are responsible for different aspects of a human's ability to talk (speech).

Broca's Area:

Broca's area provides us with the ability to produce meaningful speech and written language.

It is found in the left frontal lobe of the brain.

If this area of the brain is damaged the implications will be that speech will be slow & labourious (hard, difficult).

Wernicke's area:

This provides humans with the ability to understand hear and understand speech.

It is found in the temporal lobe also known as the auditory cortex.
