The Lungs

  •  Air breathed in goes through the trachea
  • The trachea splits into two tubes called the bronchi, one goes to each lung. One is called a bronchus
  • The bronchi get progressively smaller, and split into tubes called bronchioles
  • The bronchioles end at the alveoli, which are tiny bags of air. This is where the gas exchange takes place.
