Aspirin is made from Salicin that comes from the bark and leaves of the Willow tree. It gives pain relief is anti-inflammatory reduces blood clotting and fever.

Quinine comes from the bark of the Cinchona tree, it treats malaria.

Taxol comes from the Pacific Yew tree, but it is very slow growing, so they extract a similar substance form a related tree an d convert it to Taxol. It is anti-cancer.
