Homeostasis is maintaining a constant environment in the body.
Hupothermia is the state when the core body temperature falls below the normal range. Too cold; low temperature
Hyperthermia is the state when the core body temperature rises above the normal range. Too hot; high temperature.
Homeostasis makes sure our body has a correct level of:
- Glucose (sugar)
- Water levels
- Temperature 37 degree celcius - 37.5 degree celcius
- Ions (salts)
- Oxygen
- Carbon dioxide
Pancreas (gland) produces Insulin (hormone).
Glucose = sugar used in respiration to produce energy
Glycogen = storage substance made of glucose, stored in liver.
