The Biological approach
All behaviour can be explained in terms of biological factors.
There are 4 main assumptions:
- Genes. They pass on physiological and psychological information to the next generation. So if you have D4DR which has been linked with thrill-seeking behaviour- blame mum and dad!
- Neuroanatomy. The structure of the brain! This assumes that different parts of the brain control different behaviours. It argues that specific areas of the brain can be linked to specific behavioural traits. (e.g. the limbic system is linked…
