How to investigate variation                   

Inter specific- When species differ from each other

intra specific- When members of the same species differ from each other

Sampling is important the way it is measured must also ensure that it is able to be representative to a population.

-Sampling bias: The researcher may choose where to provide evidence from such as a  particular place, so it can be unfair to generalise.

-Chance: Even by trying to avoid the bias sample, the group may be still unrepresentative to us.
