Climate
- Cold , covered in permafrost.
- Artic tundra top of high mountains , there are few trees and vegitation.
- Typically between 60-75 degree latitude.
- Transition climate between ice cap and subartic.
- Harsh winter and cool summer.
- Permafrost can be between 10-35 inchs
Tempratures
- Winter -18 and -50 Degrees
- Summer 35-50 Degrees
Rain and Vegitation
- 5-15 inchs (usally in summer)
- If it recived less it could be considered a desert
- No trees due to permafrost
- Types of mosses, lichens and algae grow
- Some grass survives

Climate
- Thick tree cover (pine , ceadar, fir)
- Canifer leaves
- Conserve water
- Mild winters
- Heavy rainfall
- Winter can fall to -30 degrees C
Locations
- Temperate coniferous forests are found in areas with temperate weather: plenty of rainfall, cool winters, and warm summers. (Uk , Poland , Japan , Iran , Sweden)
- Tropical and subtropical coniferous forests are found in areas with tropical latitudes, making their climates more humid. (Phillipines , Indonesia , The Bahamas)
- Boreal forest (taiga) is a forest biome that spans from Siberia to Canada, and has extremely cold winters, with summers ranging from mild to extremely hot.

- Tropical - Avargae pr year 18.c
- Boreal - Avargae temps winter -54.c to 1.c and summers -7.c to 21.c
