Berlin crisis

 Because of the events before 1948 Germany had been split into 2 parts which were the east and west. The west had become capitalist and the east had become communist.

In the potsdam conference the grand allience decided to split Germany into 4 parts one being controlled by russia and the others being controlled by USA, France and Britain. Berlin played a big part as it was located in the centre of the soviet section.
