Blood and the Circulatory System

Blood: Fluid made of Cells, Platelets + Plasma. Transports substances around body through the circulatory system. EG: Oxygen and Glucose to Muscles, CO2 away from Muscles.

Red Blood Cells: transport oxygen from Lungs to Body. No Nucleus, full of Haemoglobin (binds with Oxygen) Biconcave Shape - Large Surface Area for Exchanging Oxygen.

Plasma: Liquid carries Nutrients (Glucose + Amnino Acids) also Antibodies, Hormones, Waste (CO2 + Urea)

White Blood Cells: Fight Infection, Protect body from
