-All living things respond to a change in the environment. We call this change a stimulus. 

-The Central Nervous System; in vertebrates, this consists of the brain and the spinal cord only. In Mammals however, the CNS is connected to the body by sensory neurones and motor neurones. These make up the PNS. (Peripheral Nervous System)
