Homeostasis: Hormonal and nervous systems involved in maintaining the stability of the internal environement of the body.

TEMPERATURE:

1) Your body temperature is maintained at the level enzymes work best for chemical reactions occuring in your body (37*C)

2) The hypothalomus receptors in the brain control body temp by triggering changes to effectors, such as sweat glands and muscles controlling body hair. Heat stroke can happen when the body becomes too hot; and hypothermia when the body becomes too cold.
